What you need

Make sure that you have paid and returned your permission form.

On the day bring:

Should I wear a helmet?

How much is your brain worth. Ten dollars is cheap for a brain. Helmets look cool and keep your head (and the rest of your body) warm.

Make sure you order one through the school in advance.

How good am I?

We need to know your standard so you can be organised into classes. If you are in a class that is below your standard you will be bored and not get good value for your day, if you in a class too high you will hold up the rest of the group and get frustrated because you won't be able to keep up.

Mount Hotham Snowports have five standards for boarders and skiers.

Best Ski/Board Season for Many Many Years

What a great season!

This year is said to be the best ski season at Mount Hoham for about 15 years. There have been 48 continuous days where the maximum temperature has not been above zero degrees. This has made for some great skiing/boarding. The snow has been dry, not too icy, not too many bumps and on most days great visibility. All students that went up this year have made tremendous improvements in their skiing or boarding. And had fun!!

We should thank the Mount Hotham Ski Company and the Resort for providing us with some real bargains . The skiing and rental prices were way below what other people pay and the resort gave us free entry.

Thanks also to Rod O'Connell for his driving and Steve Cohen for helping us on a number of days.
